Nintendo Collectibles That Actually Look Good in Your Home
I love Nintendo games, but apparently playing them isn’t enough. Now I’m finding things I’d like to put on my shelves, too.
A LEGO Game Boy. A little pixelated Link. A Piranha Plant that requires absolutely no watering.
Somewhere between looking for gaming collectibles and imagining where they could go in my house, I started a Amazon Idea List.
Everything in this post is a find I’m considering, rather than something I already own or have tested. These are the pieces that caught my eye—and how I’d work them into a bookshelf, home office, or cozy gaming corner.

LEGO Nintendo Sets I’d Happily Make Room For
1. LEGO Piranha Plant
The Piranha Plant is one of my favorite finds because it already feels like a decorative object. It’s a plant in a pot, just with considerably more teeth.
I’d put it on a bookshelf beside a short stack of books or on a console table with a framed photograph. The green pipe and bright red plant would bring a little color into the arrangement.
This is the sort of piece that would make me smile every time I walked past it.
2. LEGO Game Boy
There’s something about that familiar gray Game Boy that immediately gets my attention.
I’d love this on a home office shelf, especially alongside Nintendo books or a small framed print. It would also make a fun addition to the spot where you keep your games and controllers.
Of everything on this list, this is one of the pieces I can most easily imagine finding a permanent place in my house.

3. LEGO The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Set
Zelda is responsible for plenty of hours disappearing from my life, so naturally a Zelda LEGO set made the Amazon Idea List.
This would be a centerpiece for a dedicated shelf. I’d give it room so you could appreciate the scene and its details, keeping the surrounding accessories simple.
Before buying, I’d measure the finished build against the shelf I had in mind. Finding the perfect collectible and then discovering it doesn’t fit sounds like something I would do.

4. 8-Bit Link amiibo
I’m especially drawn to this Link because of the pixelated design. It has that recognizable early Nintendo look, which makes it feel different from a more detailed character figure.
I’d place it beside a Nintendo book or on a small stack of books to give it a little height.
It’s a fun way to include Zelda on a shelf without needing a large display.

5. Metroid amiibo
The Metroid amiibo caught my eye because of its unusual shape and translucent appearance.
Visually, I’d pair it with darker books, a black frame, or a simple wood shelf. It has enough detail to be interesting on its own, so I’d leave some space around it.
This is one I’d consider for my desk, where I could actually see it while working.

6. Mario Kart Mario Statue
Mario Kart deserves a place here, too.
The Mario-in-his-kart statue feels like a good choice for someone who wants one larger character piece. I’d use it on a media shelf or bookcase, perhaps beside a few favorite games.
The kart makes it feel like a little scene rather than just a standing figure—and it brings back all those memories of races that became much more competitive than anyone intended.

7. Nintendo Books
Books are an easy way to bring gaming into a bookshelf. Convenient, considering that is technically what the shelf is for.
Two on my list are Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America and The Ultimate History of Video Games, Volume 2.
I haven’t read either yet, but the subjects appeal to me. I’d pair one with a small amiibo, or stack them horizontally with a collectible beside them.
They also give the arrangement some variety in height and shape.

8. Super Mario Lamp
I have a weakness for lamps, so a Mario lamp was probably inevitable.
I’d picture this in a home office or beside a gaming chair, where the theme would feel right at home. The level-inspired design is what caught my attention.
Since this is a Amazon Idea List find, I’d check its dimensions and lighting details before deciding exactly where it belongs.

Yes, a Couple of Plushies Made the List
9. Mario Kart Banana Plush
I tried to narrow down the plushies. The banana survived.
It’s cheerful, a little ridiculous, and immediately makes me think of Mario Kart. I’d put it in a gaming chair or tuck it into the corner of a shelf.
Sometimes a decorating choice can simply be something that makes you laugh.

10. Samus Helmet Plush
The Samus helmet is another favorite because it represents an object from the game rather than a whole character.
I’d use it in a gaming corner or on an office shelf. Its orange and green colors would make it a noticeable accent, so I’d keep nearby pieces fairly simple.

How I’d Display Nintendo Collectibles at Home
I’d start with one or two favorites and arrange them among things already in the room.
A Nintendo book, a small Link amiibo, and the LEGO Piranha Plant would make a fun bookshelf grouping. The Game Boy could have its own spot on a desk. A larger Zelda build would get a shelf with enough room to show it off.
For several smaller figures, I’d consider an acrylic display case. I’d check the interior measurements first, especially for figures with wide poses or accessories.
Mostly, I’d choose pieces connected to games I actually love. That’s what makes the display personal.
My Amazon Idea List may be growing, but the Piranha Plant and LEGO Game Boy are currently near the top. Apparently, my Nintendo habit is expanding into home decorating.
