Repurposing Stock Photography to Shoppable Pins
🖼️ From Stock Photos to Something More
For a while, I was deep in the world of stock photography — snapping everything from gritty power washing textures to cozy bedroom setups. I uploaded each image with detailed titles and keywords, hoping for the occasional sale.
Spoiler alert: I did make a few! Shoutout to my boiling water video and sunset over the Mississippi.
But recently, I had a little creative lightbulb moment:
Why let those images just sit there, when I could repurpose them into shoppable Pinterest Pins?
📌 Turning Photos Into Shoppable Pins
Here’s what I did.
I took some gritty texture photos from my own patio — pressure washing content I’d originally uploaded as stock — and gave them a second life. After a few edits for clarity, I layered in product shots and playful text using Canva.

The result?

A shoppable, scroll-stopping visual guide for anyone curious about pressure washing gear.

💡 Why This Works (for Me, Anyway)
This project scratches a bunch of creative itches at once:
- 📸 I get to use my own photography
- 🛠️ I share gear I actually use at home
- 🖼️ I experiment with design + layout
- 📌 I build out a Pinterest content strategy
- 🧪 And I test what clicks (literally)
It’s not a full-blown ad agency — more like a tiny, scrappy, one-person marketing lab.
🧪 What I’m Learning
Right now, this is all one big creative experiment. I’m:
- Testing visuals and layouts
- Playing with storytelling and product curation
- Learning how to connect affiliate links to authentic content
- Repurposing what I already have instead of starting from scratch
It’s design meets curiosity, with a little sprinkle of SEO and a few chili crunch-level surprises along the way.
🎯 The Takeaway
If you’ve got a backlog of images — even ones you made “just for stock” — there’s a good chance you can reuse them in a fresh, shoppable way. Especially if you’re already in the affiliate game, or thinking about getting started.
Because sometimes your next piece of content isn’t something new — it’s something repurposed.
And hey, if a pressure washing texture can become a product pin, anything can.
